The atmosphere here is upscale yet casual, exclusive yet inviting. Unique, quirky, down to earth, laid back, elegant, dignified and sophisticated have all been used to describe this special section of beach property. The architecture varies from modern to old Florida from glamorous to quaint. That is what makes this area so wonderful.
This gorgeous 18.5 mile stretch of two lane highway is located in Northwest Florida in the Panhandle of Florida’s Gulf Coast along the “Beaches of South Walton”. This area is comfortably tucked between Destin and Panama City and is also referred to as the Emerald Coast.
The crystal white sands and beautiful emerald waters are the main attraction, but there is so much more to this pristine Gulf front area. You will find world class dining as well as mom and pop joints that have a huge local following. Bike paths make it a safe and beautiful way to travel up and down the highway. All water sports are offered as well as fishing and four state parks are located in the area. Music, art, open air markets and festivals are common year round. One of the biggest treasures that you will find in the area is the 11 rare costal dune lakes that are unique to the Gulf coast. Two nearby golf courses are available for a round or two, Camp Creek Golf Course and the Santa Rosa Golf Club. You can even tour a historic mansion at Eden State park.
